Some weddings are remembered not only for their beauty but for the incredible gathering of family and friends they bring together. This spectacular celebration at The Marble House Project in Dorset, Vermont welcomed guests from the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany, and across the East Coast for an unforgettable weekend in one of Vermont's most remarkable venues.
Out of respect for the couple's request for privacy, I'm only able to share a small glimpse of their wedding day. While the photographs remain private, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to introduce couples to The Marble House Project—a truly extraordinary venue that blends contemporary art, stunning architecture, and Vermont's natural beauty into an unforgettable wedding experience.
A Courtyard Rehearsal Celebration Filled with Color and Creativity
The festivities began the evening before with an unforgettable rehearsal celebration in the courtyard at The Marble House Project. Guests arrived in imaginative costumes, setting the tone for a weekend that celebrated creativity, connection, and joy. Towering floral installations transformed the courtyard, while hundreds of floating carnations drifted across the reflection pool, creating one of the most visually striking rehearsal dinners I've ever photographed. The evening was beautifully catered by the talented team at Erik Peckel Catering, whose incredible cuisine matched the artistry and elegance of the setting.
An Enchanted Forest Reception at The Marble House Project
Following the outdoor ceremony, guests gathered in the beautifully restored barn, where an enchanting forest-inspired reception awaited. Cascading greenery suspended from the exposed timber beams, glowing Edison bulbs, and chandeliers draped in flowing white gauze transformed the rustic space into a magical woodland retreat. Every detail reflected the couple's creative vision while perfectly complementing the artistic spirit of The Marble House Project.
The reception tables were a joyful celebration of color and imagination. Lush floral arrangements overflowed from an eclectic collection of vintage bottles and vessels, while mismatched china, colorful pressed-glass goblets, whimsical figurines, and richly textured linens created tablescapes that invited guests to slow down and discover something new at every seat. The result was both elegant and delightfully unexpected.
Adding to the unforgettable experience was the extraordinary cuisine by Erik Peckel Catering, whose beautifully crafted menu delighted guests throughout the evening. The celebration concluded with an incredible dessert display that was every bit as stunning as it was delicious—a fitting finale to a wedding weekend where artistry, creativity, and hospitality came together in perfect harmony.
