Aubrie and Brandon enjoyed a super fun, couples photo session here at Featherstone in Woodstock, Vermont. I will be photographing their wedding in 2021 and was excited to be able to meet and photograph them before their wedding day. Engagement sessions are such a great way for us to get to know each other in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

We were still a bit too early for the brilliant Vermont foliage, but the leaves were starting to change and there was some lovely color variations in the background on some of the photos.

Aubrie had quite a few Pinterest images she wanted and we managed to get through most of them on the day. Some professional photographers cringe at the thought of Pinterest images, but I honestly do not mind them for the elopement and couples photography sessions. We generally have plenty of time to go through them and actually use some as "take off points" for other awesome couples photos, but on a wedding day, it is best to keep them to a minimum. However, even with Pinterest images, I always do my own thing for part of the shoot and try and to get my couples to forget about what they want and just concentrate on the moment they are sharing together.
